Birmingham International Airport (BHX) is located a few miles to the east of Birmingham, in the borough of Solihull. It's close to the the M42 and A45 roads and the airport also has its own railway station, on the West Coast Main Line.

Birmingham Airport carries approximately nine million passengers a year to destinations all over the world. Birmingham International Airport is currently undergoing a number of expansionary works that should be completed by 2012. These will enable the airport to handle many more passengers - an estimated 15 million in 2013.
