Darlington is a borough in County Durham, in the North of England. The town has a long transport-related history, having formed one end of the original Stockton - Darlington railway.
Today this history is celebrated in one of Darlington's main attractions - the Head of Steam. Formerly known as the Darlington Railway Centre and Museum, it was relaunched in April 2008 after a £1.7m refurbishment.
