Didcot, in Oxfordshire, is an affluent town with several major scientific and engineering employers. It's located near the southern boundary of Oxfordshire - until 1974, Didcot was actually in neighbouring Berkshire.

The town has a long history of being an important rail route, and today Didcot Parkway station provides good commuting access to London and Reading. Road access is also good - Didcot sits alongside the A34, giving easy access to both the M4 and M40 - and hence London, the Midlands and the south-west.
