Gloucester is the county town of Gloucestershire and is in the west of England. It's actually a port and is connected to the sea by both the River Severn and the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal, which allows bigger vessels passage than the tidal river would.

Gloucester has always been one of the centres for the aeropspace industry in the UK and these links continue today. The town is also home to the headquarters of the Cheltenham and Gloucester bank, a large mortgage lender.

Transport links are good with the M5 motorway running from the edge of Gloucester. Van hire isn't a problem, either, with the van rental companies above all offering a comprehensive choice of vans:
