Woking's long history started in 673AD, and the Surrey town also appears in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Wochinges. Today, Woking is home to more than 60,000 people and is close to several other popular Surrey towns – such as Camberley and Guildford.
Woking is a thriving commuter town approximately 25 miles south-west of London's Charing Cross Station - making it an excellent base for London commuting. Road connections are also excellent, with easy access to the M3, A3 and M25.
Attractions in and around Woking include the Mizens Railway, a model railway, and the Brooklands Museum, which captures the history of British motor racing and is situated a few miles away in Weybridge.
